We moved to Cave City in 1991 when we purchased the then-bankrupt Jellystone Park Resort ! We owned the Resort for 14 years during which time we renovated most of the facilities, added amenities, built rental cabins, made thousands of friends, and had a great time doing it !
In 1996, we bought another bankrupt business, The Happy Days Diner, which was located on Highway 31W here in Cave City. We moved the Diner to its present location, began renovation, and opened in the Summer of 1996. We thought that the Diner would be a good addition to the Resort with its 1950's Theme and the immense popularity of Yogi Bear, the Jellystone Mascot, in the 50's and 60's ! We were right in our assumptions because many still associate the Diner with Yogi Bear and Jellystone Park !
After selling Jellystone Park in 2004, we decided to devote full-time attention to operation of the Diner. The new Mini Golf, Dining Room and Patio additions were made in 2005 and opened for the summer of 2006.
In all of our years in the Hospitality Industry, we have always tried our best to provide value for the customer's dollar, to stress customer service, to provide something a little different, unique, and new for our customers, and to always treat others as we would like to be treated !
